Quantum Systems Unveils Pulse P19 Multi-Mission Platform at ILA Berlin 2026
The 2026 ILA Berlin Air Show opened today and runs through June 14. German aerospace and defense company Quantum Systems used the occasion to formally introduce the Pulse P19, an optionally manned multi-mission aerial platform engineered for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), counter-UAS, and strike support missions.
Performance and Specifications
The Pulse P19 is equipped with a radar and electro-optical sensor suite and features six external hardpoints capable of carrying a variety of payloads, drop tanks, or mission equipment. According to manufacturer data, the aircraft has a maximum cruise speed of 290 KTAS (approximately 537 km/h) and a maximum operating speed of 300 KTAS (approximately 556 km/h).
In terms of weight class, the Pulse P19 is offered in multiple configurations. The military variant carries a maximum takeoff weight of 4,200 kg, a basic empty weight of 1,700 kg, and a mission payload capacity of up to 2,500 kg.
Multi-Domain Mission Flexibility
The Pulse P19's system architecture emphasizes versatile mission adaptability, spanning reconnaissance, maritime surveillance, and counter-UAS operations. Configurations on display at the show included a drone interceptor fit and a 70 mm rocket-armed variant, signaling the platform's potential to integrate layered air defense and precision strike capabilities.
The unveiling reflects growing European defense industry interest in optionally manned, multi-role aerial platforms — particularly amid escalating counter-UAS threats that have driven demand for systems capable of executing multiple mission types within a single airframe.
