AeroVironment Expands Huntsville Facility to Accelerate Freedom Eagle-1 Next-Generation Counter-UAS Missile Production

AeroVironment (NASDAQ: AVAV) has announced a $20.2 million U.S. government investment to expand its Huntsville, Alabama facility, boosting Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) of the Freedom Eagle-1 (FE-1) Next-Generation Counter-UAS Missile (NGCM) and accelerating the path to Full-Rate Production (FRP). The 24,000-square-foot expansion will serve as the system-level integration and manufacturing hub for FE-1, designed to defeat Group 2 and 3 UAS threats cost-effectively at scale.
