Iron Dome Integrates 100kW Iron Beam Laser Weapon, Significantly Boosting Air Defense Interception Capability
Israel's Ministry of Defense has announced the successful integration of the 100kW Iron Beam high-energy laser weapon system (HELWS) into the Iron Dome short-range air defense system. Tested jointly by IMDO, DDR&D, and Rafael, the upgrade enables near-zero-cost interception of drone swarms and cruise missiles, strengthening Israel's multi-layered air defense architecture.
