Romania's OVES Enterprise Unveils INTERJET AI-Powered High-Speed Interceptor Drone
Romanian defense technology company OVES Enterprise has officially unveiled INTERJET, a high-speed interceptor drone featuring AI-assisted capabilities designed specifically for counter-UAV (C-UAV) operations. The system is powered by the company's proprietary Nemesis AI engine, which delivers autonomous flight control, sensor fusion, real-time target tracking, and interception decision-making.
Impressive Performance Specifications
INTERJET is built on a turbojet propulsion platform and boasts the following performance parameters according to publicly available data:
- Maximum speed: approximately 450–500 km/h
- Range: approximately 200 km
- Endurance: approximately 45 minutes
- Payload capacity: up to 10 kg depending on configuration
The SkyLock Counter-UAS Ecosystem
INTERJET is one component of OVES Enterprise's broader counter-UAS ecosystem, built on the SkyLock architecture. The platform integrates radar detection, optical sensors, AI processing, and autonomous interceptor drones into a unified system. SkyLock is designed to deliver a complete engagement chain — from detection and identification, through tracking, to the neutralization of airborne threats.
Nemesis AI: The Core Technology
According to statements and reports released by OVES Enterprise, Nemesis AI is already being applied across several of the company's other defense-related systems, including counter-drone platforms and integrations with third-party defense solutions. The AI engine analyzes sensor data in real time and autonomously generates interception decisions, significantly compressing response times.
Targeting High-Speed Airborne Threats
OVES Enterprise states that INTERJET is specifically engineered for scenarios involving fast-moving aerial threats — such as small drones and loitering munitions — where rapid response times and autonomous guidance are critical to mission success.
Development Timeline
The system is currently still in development. OVES Enterprise has announced that demonstrations and further testing are planned for 2026.
