
Poland Acquires V-BAT Drones to Bolster Baltic Sea Naval Capabilities
Poland's Ministry of National Defence has signed a contract with California-based defence technology firm Shield AI to procure V-BAT unmanned aerial systems for the Polish Navy. Delivery is expected in the second half of 2026. The deal makes Poland the first NATO Eastern Flank nation to acquire the V-BAT, joining operators including Greece, the Netherlands, the U.S. Navy, and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
