Australian investment group Electro Ventures has announced the formal acquisition of Vertiport Simulations, a vertiport simulation and design firm headquartered in Orlando, Florida, adding it to the company's growing portfolio. Under the terms of the deal, Vertiport Simulations has been rebranded as VertiSim by ElectroVentures.

Vertiport Simulations was founded by Joe Mattern and includes fixed-wing, rotorcraft, and eVTOL test pilot Wayne Smith, along with custom scenery graphics designer Richard Doherty. The company uses Microsoft Flight Simulator as its core technology platform to deliver highly realistic vertiport design solutions and visual rendering services that surpass the capabilities of traditional architectural engineering drawings in several key areas.
Compared with conventional design workflows, VertiSim enables faster design iterations, more competitively priced services, and fully immersive VR environments. Using a standard Microsoft Xbox controller, clients can fly through a conceptual vertiport from anywhere in the world—all before a single shovel breaks ground.
