Zelensky: Ukraine's Annual Drone Production Reaches 10 Million, Targets 20 Million

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that Ukraine is currently producing approximately 10 million drones per year, and has set a clear next milestone of doubling that output to 20 million units annually.

"I remember when I first announced the goal of producing one million drones a year, there was widespread skepticism — both at home and abroad," Zelensky said. "Today, we can say that our annual production has reached 10 million, and we will reach 20 million."

Zelensky added that the significant production scale-up would be achieved through collaboration with Ukraine's international partners, a move he said would further consolidate both Ukraine's and Europe's defense industrial base.

Since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war, Ukraine has dramatically accelerated its indigenous drone research and manufacturing. From an initial annual target of one million units to surpassing ten million, the country's rapid industrialization in the drone sector has been remarkable — underscoring Ukraine's growing capacity to sustain and expand large-scale unmanned systems production.
