Submission Categories and Formatting Requirements
- Word Count: Manuscripts should typically be between 5,000 and 8,000 words, including footnotes.
- Style Guide: Submissions must follow the Chicago Manual of Style (Notes and Bibliography system).
- Formatting: Double-spaced, 12pt Times New Roman font, 1-inch margins. Submit as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx).
- Blind Review: To facilitate double-blind peer review, manuscripts must not contain any identifying information or author names in the body of the text. A separate cover page listing the author's name, institutional affiliation, and a 150-word short biography must be included.
- Abstract: All submissions must include a 150–200 word abstract and 4–6 keywords.
- Security Review: Active-duty military personnel and U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) civilian authors must ensure their manuscripts have cleared the appropriate Public Affairs (PA) and security review channels prior to final publication.
