Joby Aviation and Uber Showcase eVTOL Aircraft at National Mall for America's 250th Anniversary

Joby Aviation has announced it will bring a full-scale display model of its eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft to the National Mall in Washington D.C., as part of 'The Great American State Fair' — a landmark event celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence.

The exhibit, themed 'Electric Skies,' will see Joby partner with ride-sharing giant Uber to give the public a first-hand look at the future of urban air mobility (UAM).

Joby Aviation's eVTOL aircraft uses an electric propulsion system and is designed for vertical take-off and landing, positioning it as an air taxi for urban environments.
