Drone Spot-Repair Validated On-Site: Three Corrosion Patches on Cement Silo Completed in Under One Hour
Swiss drone company Voliro has completed an end-to-end aerial spot-repair operation at a working cement plant, using the Voliro T drone equipped with its Aeroblaster surface-preparation and roller-coating kits to treat three approximately 30×30 cm active corrosion patches on a steel silo in under one hour. Compared with traditional scaffolding methods requiring two to four days, or rope-access teams needing weeks of lead time, the drone solution dramatically lowers the cost of early intervention on industrial steel assets.
