Kongsberg Awarded Lot 2 Production Contract for F-35-Compatible Joint Strike Missile
The U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center has awarded Norwegian defense group Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace a firm-fixed-price contract for Lot 2 production of the Joint Strike Missile (JSM), covering missile bodies, launch canisters, test hardware, and associated support equipment. The JSM is the only long-range anti-ship and precision strike missile compatible with the F-35's internal weapons bay.
