Slovenia's Valhalla Turrets Unveils RAZOR Anti-Drone Combat Module with 85-Degree Elevation Fire Control
Slovenian defense tech company Valhalla Turrets has introduced the RAZOR, a lightweight remote weapon station (RWS) designed for counter-drone and short-range air defense missions. Equipped with the HENSOLDT TAROSS electro-optical sighting system and an 85-degree maximum elevation, the RAZOR can be configured with either a 7.62mm FN MAG (800 rounds) or a 7.62mm M134D Minigun (2,000 rounds). Part of the LOKI turret family, the system weighs under 100 kg, emphasizing rapid deployment and mobility.

Slovenia's Valhalla Turrets Unveils RAZOR Anti-Drone Combat Module
Slovenian defense technology company Valhalla Turrets has officially launched its latest product — the RAZOR Anti-Drone Combat Module — a lightweight remote weapon station (RWS) purpose-built to counter drone threats and provide short-range air defense capability.
Core Specifications and Weapon Configuration
The RAZOR is fitted with the HENSOLDT TAROSS electro-optical sighting system and achieves a maximum elevation of 85 degrees, enabling it to effectively track and engage aerial targets at steep angles.
Depending on mission requirements, operators can choose between two weapon configurations:
- 7.62mm FN MAG machine gun — with 800 rounds on board
- 7.62mm M134D six-barrel rotary machine gun (Minigun) — with 2,000 rounds on board
Effective Engagement Range
Valhalla Turrets has not yet published an official engagement range. However, based on industry analysis, comparable counter-drone systems equipped with the 7.62mm M134D typically achieve an effective range of 500 to 800 metres against small drones.
Lightweight Design for Rapid Deployment
Valhalla Turrets notes that the RAZOR belongs to its LOKI turret family, which keeps total system weight below 100 kg — a design philosophy centered on lightness, mobility, and rapid deployment.
As drone threats continue to escalate on modern battlefields, low-weight, high-elevation RWS platforms such as the RAZOR are increasingly attracting attention from military forces worldwide as viable counter-drone solutions.
