EOS Subsidiary MARSS Selected as BAE Systems C-UAS C2 Provider; AI Hub to Open in Nice
EOS has announced that its command-and-control (C2) subsidiary MARSS has been selected as the C2 provider for BAE Systems' Counter-Threat System (BATS) — BAE Systems' next-generation counter-drone (C-UAS) capability platform.
NiDAR Platform to Serve as the Intelligent Nerve Centre of BATS
According to an EOS press release, MARSS's NiDAR platform will act as the intelligent "nerve centre" of the BAE Systems Counter-Threat System. The AI-driven C2 platform NiDAR will be responsible for integrating sensors and effectors across BAE Systems' global BATS C-UAS capabilities.
The partnership agreement was formally signed at the Eurosatory Defence and Security Exhibition in Paris. MARSS will provide software licensing and technical support services for BAE Systems' C-UAS demonstrations and operational deployments. The collaboration is expected to generate further customer contract opportunities for both parties going forward.
$10 Million European AI Hub to Be Established in Nice
EOS also announced an earlier commitment to invest $10 million in Nice, France, to establish a European research and development hub for AI-enabled counter-drone command-and-control systems.
"This hub will be anchored around the MARSS headquarters — MARSS being the recently acquired AI-enabled command-and-control specialist. … This investment is expected to create up to 150 jobs within three years, including high-value engineering and software development positions."
Acquisition and Integration to Build a Global Counter-Drone Solution
EOS recently completed its acquisition of MARSS's defence business, combining EOS's effectors with MARSS's AI-enabled command-and-control capabilities. The combined entity aims to position itself as a global provider of integrated counter-drone solutions.
