Terra Drone Brings Ukrainian Fixed-Wing Interceptor Drone Maker WinnyLab Under Its Umbrella
Japanese drone major Terra Drone Corporation has acquired a 50% stake in Ukrainian defense-tech firm WinnyLab LLC through its Estonia-based subsidiary Terra Defense Europe, making WinnyLab a consolidated subsidiary. WinnyLab's fixed-wing interceptor drone 'Terra A2' reaches speeds of up to 312 km/h, covers a 75 km range, and sustains flight for over 40 minutes. The aircraft was operationally deployed in Ukraine in May 2026. The move is part of Terra Drone's strategy to build layered air-defense solutions and accelerate global defense business expansion.
