Finnish Border Guard Selects Nokia to Build Nationwide Counter-Drone Secure Communications Network

The Finnish Border Guard has chosen Nokia to deliver a secure communications network for its national counter-drone system, enhancing border security across land and sea. Nokia will deploy a high-speed protected network enabling real-time data sharing between sensors, patrol units, and command-and-control systems. The initiative is part of a $55 million modernization program, with initial testing of vehicles, patrol vessels, and network infrastructure planned for 2027–2028.
