EU-Japan Drone Airspace Management Exchange: SESAR JU and NEDO Host Tokyo Technical Workshop
The EU's SESAR Joint Undertaking and Japan's NEDO co-hosted a technical workshop in Tokyo in June, drawing over 50 European experts to discuss U-space implementation, UTM–ATM integration, eVTOL vertiport operations, and detect-and-avoid technologies. Participants also explored opportunities to deepen EU-Japan cooperation through Horizon Europe, which has now formally opened to Japanese institutions.
