Australia's CASA Warns: Drone Flights Near Sydney Airport Require Prior Approval
Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has issued a notice reminding drone operators that flying over Coogee Beach requires formal CASA approval. The beach falls within Sydney Airport's approach and departure corridors, making unauthorized drone operations a serious threat to manned aircraft. CASA stressed that each approval is operator- and site-specific and does not extend to other pilots.
